REMEMBERING OCEAN PARK IN A TANGIBLE WAY

	"It is in loving - not in being loved, -
	    The heart is blest;
	It is in giving - not in seeking gifts, -
	    We find our quest."

The story of Ocean Park is an inspiring one. It is a story which reveals faith, love and fellowship. It is also a story with a message for those of us entrusted with the Ocean Park program today.

Those who preceded us were called to certain tasks and certain responsibilities. Our challenges may be different and the obstacles we face may not be the same, but our responsibility is no less. For this is our day, our time, our opportunity to respond.

As you consider the positive impact which Ocean Park has had upon your life and thousands of others, join the many members and friends of the Ocean Park Association who have given " gifts that keep on giving" in the following ways:

Bequest - Your Will could benefit the Ocean Park Association through: (1) an outright bequest, (2) a bequest of residuary estate, (3) a bequest of a percentage of a residuary estate, or (4) a contingent bequest. Wills already written may only need a simple codicil to include our work.

Gift Annuity - A contribution now that provides a guaranteed lifetime income at favorable rates and has tax benefits as well.

Life Insurance - The original purpose for which an existing policy was obtained may no longer be applicable and you could make a significant gift to us by making the Ocean Park Association the new beneficiary of that policy.

Memorial Fund - Gifts of any size may be given at any time in memory of a friend or loved one.

Annual Fund - Annual gifts to this fund constitute a major element of the revenues required to support our programs. Appeals are sent out twice a year. Contributions may be given once a year or on a more frequent schedule.

Matching Gift Programs - Many corporations have matching gift programs. Consult the human resources department where you work to see if your company has such a program. If they do, your gifts to the association may be matched by your company, if you direct them to do so, but you must initiate the req

Gift of Stock - If you own stock it may be to your advantage, as well as the Association's, to transfer the stock rather than cashing it in.

Gift of Property - There are some new and sophisticated ways to transfer property which may save you and the donor recipient as well.

Endowment Funds - Over the years, a number of donors have contributed to the Assembly program. These endowments are still helping to provide programming every summer.

Gifts of real estate, stocks, bonds or lump sum cash gifts on a one time basis are received, either for restricted or unrestricted use. The Board of Directors of the Ocean Park Association must grant approval for receiving gifts of a restricted or designated use.
