Special Spiritual and Cultural Programs

In addition to bringing you preachers in the Temple every Sunday, a full music program and Morning Watch, the Religious & Cultural Committee is offering additional opportunities for you to practice spirituality. We hope you can attend these innovative programs and spiritual services.

Good Energy Café – Enjoy musical performances, appetizers and fellowship, coffeehouse style. Led by different artists each session, this refreshing weekly gathering is designed to lift and heal your spirit and to generate peace and understanding through the arts and community. 4:30-6:00 pm on July 9, 16, 23 and 30, and August 6, 13 and 20 at Jordan Hall. Cost: $5.00.

Every Wednesday at noon in July & August: Prayer Time for Blessing and Healing in Jordan Hall (not held on July 4).  We will share a liturgy of prayer with time for you to pray silently for healing for yourself or others, or share your prayers with those who are gathered. The Laying on of Hands and Anointing with oil may be received by request. Led by different resident clergy each week. No cost.

June 27, 7:30 pm: Special music program at Jordan Hall featuring The Dunnemans.  Enjoy this special blend of gospel music from New Yorkers Gretchen and Reg Dunneman. Free will offering.

3rd Annual Animal Blessing Service on July 15, 4:30 pm in the Bell Tower Grove. Led by Martine Taylor and the Rev. Jan Hyrniewicz, all of God's creatures are welcome but, they must be leashed, caged or contained as appropriate. Rain or shine. For more information, email Martine Taylor, martinet2874@hotmail.com.

August 4 – Illumination Night: Details on all the events happening this evening!
 
August 18, 3:30-5:00 pm: Teddy Bear Picnic. Bring your favorite "teddy" and come to the Rec Hall for a picnic! Refreshments, stories, clowns, and games. No cost.

August 25, 7:00 pm: PorchFest at 50 Free Street! Bring instruments to play along if you like and enjoy an old fashioned sing-a-long featuring folk songs and camp songs. Held indoors, come in through the garage, has handicapped access. No cost.
