Learning Through Film Series
This series features the showing of a film at 7:00 pm on select Thursdays followed by a discussion the following morning at 9:30 am. See the booklet or below for the locations.
The films are all critically acclaimed and have been selected as well for content likely to invite spirited discussion. They are not suitable for children. Our contract to show films in Ocean Park does not allow us to charge for their viewing. However, we would welcome a suggested $5.00 donation at the discussion.
July 2 & 3: “The Singing Revolution”, showing of the film will be in Jakeman Hall at 7:00. Discussion group to be held in Porter Hall at 9:30 with Anne Parsons Marchant.
July 9 & 10: The Sing Sing Chronicles showing at Porter at 7:00. Discussion group to be held in POrter at 9:30 with Barbara Gardner.
August 6 & 7: “Jane Goodall’s Famous Last Words”, at Jakeman Hall at 7:00. Discussion group to be held in Jakeman at 9:30 with David & Patricia Jackson.
Aug. 13-14: “Pursuit of Happiness”, at Jordan Hall at 7:00. Discussion group to be held at Jordan presented by AJoey Miller.
