Arts in the Park is a week of arts (Theater, Visual art, Dance, Music) events throughout the park with something for everyone. Meet and greet 6 plein air artists who will be painting around town from Sunday-Thursday. Be sure to mark your calendar for Thursday night’s Art Sale & Show from 5-7 pm. All sales go through the Ocean Park Association; a percentage of the sales raise funds for OPA programs and events. Keep your eyes out for the Arts in the Park brochure, detailing the full schedule of events including a guest artist talk, classes, Other art activities include Theatre Dance Camp, run by the Educational Bureau in the mornings at the Temple,
art scavenger hunt for families, art classes for all ages to sign up for, music, poetry, Improv comedy and more. Please follow the Ocean Park Association Facebook page or the sign in front of Jakeman Hall for updates on programs and to see where the artists will be painting each day.
- July 12: Artists arrive in Ocean Park and begin painting
- July 13-16: Meet & Greet all day long- Walk around town to find artists at work. They invite you to come meet and talk with them about their work anytime throughout the day.
- July 13: A Visiting Artis Discussion-A guest artist will share their work and techniques in this informative session in Porter Hall.
- July 15: Special Artist Class for Children in Porter Hall. Ages 12-18, Cost is $5.00 (Only 10 spots available, so sign up early)
- July 16: 5:00-7:30 PM: Wet Paint Sale Art Sale & Reception at the Temple – Meet the Artists, view the art created this week in Ocean Park and purchase a piece for your family enjoy for generations. Purchases benefit the artist and the OPA.
