Recreation Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
POSITION SUMMARY: The Recreation Coordinator is responsible for the leadership and coordination of activities for families and youth in Ocean Park’s recreation program and to create family-centered programming for residents and visitors to Ocean Park.
The Ocean Park Association (OPA), established in 1881, is a small nonprofit community organization located in Ocean Park, Maine. Entering its 144th season, OPA offers programming focused on spirituality, education, cultural arts and recreation. We are seeking a skilled, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to serve as a part time Recreation Coordinator for our summer recreation program for children, teens, and adults.
This position is from June 17, 2024 to August 16, 2024 (approximately 9 weeks).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in working with youth and community in a salaried or volunteer position – preferably an individual with a college education or experience in the field of recreation or education.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and to communicate effectively.
- Ability to plan and organize activities and maintain records.
- Proven ability to be dedicated, reliable, and responsible.
- Possesses the necessary required background checks to work with children
Preference will be given to a candidate who can work the entire 9-week season.
